Meet The Doctors
Meryl C. Atwood, D.M.D.
Dr. Atwood grew up in Topsfield before studying biology at Bowdoin College. She went on to Boston University’s Goldman School of Dentistry, earning her DMD in 1987 and her AEGD in 1988. After finishing her post graduate work, she returned to Topsfield to join Dr. Thomas Carroll, and has been practicing dentistry with him ever since. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, visiting the National Parks, and spending time with her husband, Chris, and their daughter, Hannah, and their son, Sam.
Gregory D. Carroll, D.M.D.
Dr. Gregory Carroll graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont before moving on to Boston University’s Goldman School of Dentistry. After graduating in 2007, he immediately joined his father and Dr. Atwood at Topsfield Dental. Dr. Carroll is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
He enjoys golfing, boating, and skiing in his spare time as well as spending time with his wife, Meghann, his daughter Quinn, and his son Thomas.
Brielle B. Gough, D.M.D.
Dr. Brielle (Bri) Gough grew up in Georgia and graduated from the Dental College of Georgia with a Distinction in Research before moving on to Dallas, Texas for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at Texas A&M University. After, she moved to Washington, D.C. where she practiced for several years before moving to the Boston area. Dr. Gough is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
She enjoys traveling, reading, playing board games, and trying new restaurants in her spare time as well as spending time with her husband, JB, and their black lab, Tedy.
